Five Course Latin American Tasting Menu
Ben Lin at B.Lin Catering started up the first evening of his Latin American Tasting Menu series. In the past, he’s offered a variety of menus including Japanese, Vietnamese, and New American. I usually can’t make it because I’m either working or he’s already booked full, but last Friday I was able to swing by and get a sneak peak (and taste!) before the dining crowd showed up to 784 Harvard.
On the menu for the night was shrimp ceviche on plantain chips, tacos de salvedoreanos, five-spice pork belly with coconut yucca puree, oaxacan mole with rice, and finally a flan topped with orange habanero reduction and cinnamon. Not to mention fresh tortilla chips and salsa always put me in my happy place.
Check him out, sign up for his next dinner, or hire him for your next private event.
